We follow the natural developmental pattern of first language acquisition. Children are immersed in the whole language. Using language input from the teacher and focusing on genuine communication instead of language form, the new language will emerge naturally when the child is ready—much as it does with children learning to speak their native language.

Our Spanish program is carefully calibrated to match the children’s developmental needs at every stage. Each child is unique and learns in his or her own way. Spanish Workshop for Children's teaching methodology goes well with different learning styles because it works in many modalities.

We encourage children to explore and exercise all of their natural intelligences (Linguistic, Kinesthetic, Logical/mathematical, Visual, Spatial, Musical, Intrapersonal, Interpersonal and Natural)

  • Learn by “doing”.
  • Learn by having fun. The more fun it is to learn a language, the more a child will want to stay with it.
  • Learn with music and rhythms. Music is one way to use the whole brain. Do you remember the songs that you learned when being a child? Most people do! Words combine with music are easier to learn.
  • Learn with movement. Children are kinesthetic learners. They like to imitate and act out.
  • Learn by reflecting. First children absorb the language. Later they begin to speak.

By attending to our program, parents can hear what the children are learning; you will find yourself picking up phrases and rhythm of the language. This could be a wonderful benefit for your child too! You and your child can "talk" in Spanish at home to reinforce the lesson! Remember!! Children are observers and Parents are their language models. Children watch what you do, they listen to what you say and then they try it out!
